B100 Biodiesel Adopted to Support Low-Carbon Construction at The Sustainable City

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 18 July 2018: Jeet Construction introduced the use of B100 biodiesel during construction works at The Sustainable City in Dubai, supporting efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of Phase Two developments.

The renewable fuel alternative was used to power construction activities for several new facilities, including Fairgreen International School, Hotel Indigo, and the Innovation Center. Produced from used cooking oil collected from restaurants within the community, the biodiesel contributes to a circular sustainability model while reducing emissions generated during construction operations.

The adoption of B100 biodiesel is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 150 tons annually during the construction period, supporting the broader sustainability objectives of The Sustainable City.

Jeet Construction implemented the initiative as part of its commitment to integrating sustainable construction practices and environmentally responsible engineering solutions across its projects. By adopting alternative fuels and low-carbon construction methods, the company continues to support the development of energy-efficient and environmentally responsible buildings in line with the UAE’s sustainability ambitions.
